Classic basement construction in Fulham: a new basement level under an existing west London house where the only way to add space was down. The property remained supported throughout by a sequenced underpinning scheme.
What we did
- Breaking out the existing ground floor slab and sequenced dig
- Mass concrete underpinning to the engineer’s design
- Reinforced concrete slab and retaining structure
- New drainage with sump and pump chamber
- Cavity drain membrane waterproofing ready for fit-out
The result
A dry, structurally certified new level under the house, handed over ready for insulation, services and finishes.
